FUNDING REQUEST
To live an intentional life, each person must answer the question, “How much is enough?”
I do have enough – so I want to invest in people. I learned long ago that one of the greatest forms of generosity is giving someone an opportunity to make a living.
With that goal in mind, I want Stevelear.org to be a nontraditional community organization. It is not a 501c3 because I have already built three nonprofits and have no desire (or energy) to create a fourth. This is also not about me making money. Every contribution received will be used to pay the staff, interns, and independent contractors who help me develop and maintain the site.
Any surplus funds will be used to support 501c3 organizations that provide leadership programs and personal finance education to the public.
If you have ever created a product or service, you know it takes a village to realize your vision. It requires a staff with administrative, research, design, writing, editing, producing, promotion, and technical expertise. A diverse group of people carefully curates Stevelear.org with a common goal: helping you live an intentional life so you can repair the world in a way that is most meaningful to you.
I want to create a thought-provoking and entertaining site that helps build community. People who know me will say, “Steve, you have so many communities,” but I have to be honest—I like to be a leader within the community.
I’ll focus on asking questions and gathering and simplifying information to help people make decisions. This is what I love to do! While I want the freedom to do what I think is best, I don’t pretend to be the sole knowledgeable source; that’s why I’m inviting others to contribute ideas and articles or share their thoughts in the Curiosity Zone comment section.
I hope the resources on this site will help you achieve your goals, overcome obstacles, and find generous ways to impact the lives of your family, friends, and community.
