About

Why

My goal in creating this site is simple: We are here to help repair the world. Through this community forum focused on improving leadership, promoting financial literacy, and encouraging generosity, I want to empower and transform your personal and professional life through the ideas you explore on stevelear.org. I invite you to join our website community and become part of this journey.

What

The topics discussed on this site are designed to help you

  • Understand your instincts, embrace differences, and enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Build a secure financial future.
  • Develop a thoughtful and disciplined generosity plan to positively impact your family, friends, and community.

I hope that you will ask questions, submit articles, and share stories, jokes, and quotes that you find interesting, funny, or inspirational so we can learn and grow together.

“Who is wise? One Who Learns From Every Person.”

Who

Steve Lear
ChFC, CLU, BFA™
Financial Planner & Community Activist

In a career that spans  40 years (and counting), I have devoted my time and energy to personal finance, leadership training, and philanthropy.

As a Financial Planner, I help individuals and business owners organize their finances so they can focus on family, work, community, and leisure. In addition to financial planning, I am passionate about helping people develop stronger leadership skills as a Kolbe-certified consultant, an advocate for the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), and a past participant in Dan Sullivan’s Strategic Coach program.

I have also been privileged to help create the following philanthropic organizations:

As I begin my next chapter, I’m launching SteveLear.org as an interactive learning center for personal finance, generosity planning, and leadership training. It’s a site where I can share personal wisdom and where members of the SteveLear.org community can exchange ideas and opinions – because I believe the wise person is the one who learns from everyone.

While I am honored to have won industry and community recognition for my work,  my proudest achievements are personal. I am blessed to have the best clients in town, dear friends who tell me the truth, and a wonderful family. My wife Sheri and I enjoy spending time with our seven children, their spouses, and our seven grandchildren. Our family motto is “We put the fun in dysfunctional!” (feel free to borrow it).

I dedicate this site with deep gratitude to the many people whose ideas challenge and motivate me to keep working to repair the world.
