Chelle Gonzo

Chelle Gonzo is an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) who believes that making small changes to your spending, savings, and money habits can have a big impact.

Chelle is not a financial planner or advisor; she specializes in financial education and has a gift for making complex financial topics understandable. That skill comes from her writing talent. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in journalism and landed a job in financial services, hired for her ability to simply explain what a mutual fund is, how to save for retirement, and how to start investing. During her long and successful career in that industry, she also earned an MBA and an Accredited Financial Counselor designation. She is currently on the Board of the Minnesota Council on Economic Education.

Chelle is focused on helping young people—particularly women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s – build confidence and control over their money. In addition to financial counseling, she is also a career mentor who serves as an accountability partner for people navigating their next career move, and a certified DISC and Motivators coach, helping her clients refine their communication skills to build a personal brand that resonates with others.

As a guest contributor to SteveLear.org, Chelle educates and inspires readers to become financially capable through her Money Nudges blog posts. “If you’ve ever felt confused about how to manage money, or guilt about what you have (or haven’t done), you’re not alone. The good news is, small nudges make a big difference!”
